"Expressive Watercolors" — a long-awaited course by Victoria Akulova, designed for anyone who aspires to paint dynamic watercolor portraits using the "raw" technique!

During the course, you will thoroughly examine and analyze human emotions and facial expressions. You will learn to convey them in a way that brings life to the facial expressions in your artworks.

Throughout the learning process, you will create 6 final pieces and compile a sheet of quick sketches capturing the primary human emotions. This sheet will serve as a valuable resource for your independent creative ventures.

Course Highlights:

• During the lessons, you will explore two methods of facial construction.

Classical Approach: Using pencil measurements and applying foundational knowledge of human anatomy.

Grid Sketch Technique: Creating a portrait by assembling facial elements like puzzle pieces within squares.

You will also learn to combine watercolors with other materials, such as gouache.

• You will stylize a portrait in the manner of Andy Warhol.
• Victoria Akulova's lessons will enable you to develop a deeper understanding of portraiture. Within a single course, you will master multiple techniques for portraying faces and capturing a person's character and emotions using watercolors.
